About So how many can you see?

Unfortunately, at UF resolution, probably only 3 or 4 with any clarity (i.e. what colour their eyes are!!)

It's my day off today, so I'm off out for the morning with my Nikonian friend, then back to take Mrs. S. out for lunch. Too bad the sky's a total white out!!

Thanks for dropping by?

Best regards to all.

Chris

P.S. Then again, maybe dots before the eyes are a sign of madness?! :-)

What white dots? I can't see any.

Hugo de Wolf   {K:185017} 7/27/2004
Hi Chris, the trees towering out above the hill and horizon, with the dark clouds appear lower than the primary subject is excellent. Beautiful tones, and well composed. The texture and slight tonal variation in the hill, adding to it's 3D form are very well captured. Awesome shot.

Enjoy your day off,

Cheers,

Hugo

Good Tuesday Morn Pastor!!
This is a very beautiful, colorful photo Chris!

Apart from it being a wonderful image, it is entertaining too :-) At first I was also going to ask "What white dots?" and then I saw one, and then another, and then another one. But that's it. Three ... oh wait ...maybe another one? ... so that makes it four. Or are they really white dots? :-))

Dotty Linn

Dots? What white dots. I don't see any, well maybe one by the second from left tree. But my interest is taken to the hill and sky behind. Would have thought the hill would be darker. The profile of the hill is very sharp. Is this another compilation Chris? Whatever it is a very atmospheric shot.

Yeah Chris....such a dull sky you had to work with! LOL I should have such 'dull' skies here!!

Beautiful scene this is! I like the composition very much. What are those square things on the right side of the hill?

Very nice
Lori :)

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 7/27/2004
You clearly need to get yourself a Mac, Roger!! :-)
Or are you insinuating that you're not as mad as the rest of us!!
Great comment! Thanks!

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 7/27/2004
You win one of the sheep, John!!
Winner collects!
Best regards, Chris

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 7/27/2004
No, they're really sheep, Linn.
I included them in the picture because they were there!! :>0
I feel a bit sheepish about it now, after all the comments!!
Sorry, baaaad joke!
It's gettin' late?
Kind regards, Chris

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 7/27/2004
Den, I'm worried about you not seeing the dots!!
Have you been to a dentist lately?
You're right, of course, the hill should be darker ~ but then you wouldn't have seen the nice detail in the grass?
e.g. the field mice playing cricket about one inch up from the bottom left corner!!
What do you mean, you don't see them either?!!
:-))))
P.S. Great news about the D70!
Is Margaret still with you?!!

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 7/27/2004
Good spot, Lori!
I think "the square things" are either sheep pens, (for keeping sheep in, not for sheep to write with!!) :-)))
OR, they could be the kind that are sometimes built around young trees to stop deer eating them ~ but, if that's what they are, where are the trees?!
Thanks for the comment ~ it's always good to hear from you! :>)

Don Loseke   {K:32503} 7/28/2004
You are so creative. The sky goes so well with the scene in the foreground. Makes a beautiful composition. Don.

Lori Stitt   {K:74437} 7/28/2004
Soooo GLAD you clarified 'pens' for me.
They must be pens to write with...since they don't look to be large enough to hold many sheep..and, as you pointed out, there are no trees!!! So...there must be 'wells' up there also??

ps....this is of course confirmation as to our sanity!! :)
