You are off to a good start. I think I would have darkened the light area in the upper left as it tends to draw the eye away from the point of interest. Don.

I agree with Don; you've made a good start with the limited dof. It's a pity a nice cloud didn't come by to cast shadow over the background.

Nice composition otherwise, and interesting subject.

I might have bumped up the contrast/saturation a few notches, bring out some more color, other than that I think it looks interesting as it stands.
