About One of many locks in marsden, West Yorks. The reflection on this is genuine, no photoshop. Extremely calm and overcast day for this.

You express the essence of "Tranquility" in this photo, Ade. I didn't know you could crate a reflection in p.s., but then there are many things I don't know about p.s., just the basic functions.
Thanks for your detailed comment on my "Another mannequin"
Regards,
Rafi

Photoshop amazes me every day - I wish I was writing software like that, rather than banking programs.

The most interesting way I found to learn was to buy magazines with CD's on the front - these often have several Photoshop lessons on them, and by watching them you learn about not only the lesson, but often many techniques and shortcuts that professionals use.

I learned about the reflections from Digital Camera Magazine. The magazine itself is so-so, but the lessons are often excellent.

To be honest, I usually just adjust levels, correct the horizon and crop like everyone else.

Ade, very nice image and very creative use of PS. I am just learing the program myself and it is nice to see the possibilities.
