Those colors and tones are really, really cool. Did you accomplish this in Photoshop or in the camera?

I don't think you need the black bars, as the quality of the image speaks for itself.

"Juz czas ukochac w sadzie pustkowie bezdomne,
Ptaki niebem schorzale i drzewa ulomne
I plot, co tyle desek w zle stracil godziny,
Ze na trawe cien rzuca przejrzystej drabiny..." :)

I knew this was yours before I saw your name. You sure have a style that comes through Lukasz. The Coloration and various plains intersecting makes for a unique vision. The selected areas in sepia is also very affective.
Wonderful submission.
Warm regards,Tim

Hi John, thanks for your comment; answering your questions: the original picture is color, the only thing I changed in PS was adding the sepia effect; it changed the whole picture dramatically and in that way the yellow flowers became orange;

regards
Lukasz

I was going to say, you could never get these delicate tones with Velvia. It's so punchy! Now I understand, with the sepia toning.

Good work!

Lori Stitt   {K:74437} 8/3/2004
Hi Lukasz,

I really like this very artsy image you have created!

A very different composition which I also like very much...it's different.

Interesting roof, we don't have anything like this here! :)

Nice job,
Lori ;)

Hi Lukasz, nice image with a good composition. In contrast to John i don't mind the black bars but i would have separated them from the image with a thin white or grey line, IMHO it helps the omage stand out more. One thing i notice is your filtering has failed to go across the whole image correctly, it happens someimes when the computer is really busy doing things at the same time, if you don't give it ebough time to clear the buffer it stops in the middle of the process, at least this is what it looks like to me - check out the vertical line going into the sky (8th post from the right). Anway still a nice photo though.

Best wishes from Switzerland and thanks for your comments
Neil

Lukasz Kuczkowski   {K:14684} 8/5/2004
Thanks for your comment Neil; this line you are talking about results from slide scanning; I had a problem with that cause I was not able to remove it in PS (I am not good at it) by cloning - whatever I did it looked worse; this line is quite strong so it makes a feeling that it divides the sky into two parts ;-)

regards
Lukasz

Neil Dolman   {K:26883} 8/5/2004
OK Lukasz, Sorry i see your problem :(
Sometimes these things are just better left alone if you can't fix it adequately yourself.
Have a nice day
Neil
