About Dodge Polara 1966, Montréal, Québec, Canada, June 2004.

This picture was taken with a Certo-phot camera. It was built in East Germany about 40 years ago. The shutter speed is fixed and there's only 2 aperture to choose from (f/8 and f/11). It operates like an Holga camera. It is however a sturdier camera with its metal body.

The negative was scanned with an Epson Perfection 3170 Photo scanner.

Thanks for your comments. Regards, Claude

cool. When I used the Certophot the first time I liked the colors, too. Seems to be a good lens, uncoated ... btw. you can find some certophotphotos on my website wolkerstorfer.at

Lovely color rendition again from your Certo-phot. I love the quality of the image. Nicely & economically composed.

After I read your comment to my "circles"-picture i had a look into your gallery and found a few very interesting pictures. And this one here was one of the first pictures i have saved on my harddisk after i have discovered usefilm one and a half year ago!! I guess this picture is the reason for a few shots of car-backs i had done with my Holga and Certophot - I shouldn't had to try copying this. The Original is the best with its strong colours, the soft vignette and the great composition. Did you do some colour-adjustments after scanning? Or is this powerful red nearly original?
Nice Regards,
Gerhard

Thanks for your comment Gerhard, the scanner had a hard time with the scanner. I did manipulate the hue to retrieve the original color of the contact sheet. The car was shot while the sun was setting down and under this light the red really stood out. Regards, Claude
