About Great lunch with my Nikonian friend ~ seafood paella!! Mmmm!

Followed by a few minutes shootin' thatched cottages in a little village called Gittisham! What a great place and what a great way to spend a day off!!

Even better to get home and find that mother-in-law and sister-in-law had visited the wife and had not only done the ironing but had cleaned the house from top-to-bottom!!! Fantastic!!!

Hope you've had a good day too!!

Best regards, Chris

P.S. hello Henry! Hurry up and send me some pictures!!

Beautiful shot Chris, and that Gull showed up at the right time. This is an image of where you want to be. It is so warm and peaceful. Very nice work.

Hi Chris, With your occasional "trick shots" and your PS skills, it's at times very difficult to say if this is a genuine shot or another masterpiece of composite photos.... I'm guessing it's the first, but it doesn't really matter, the result is Top Notch. Very cool shot / job.

Cheers,

Hugo

Wonderful composition, nice placement of the tree in the frame. The bird is a nice addition or was it there?? Anyway great picture. Don.

Its a beauty Chris. Pure perfection. Great PS Skills. It has come leaps and bounds. I have been watching the elegant progress and prevelged to do so. Well done.

Just read Hugo's comments. He has a great way of putting things in perspective. Agree with his views.

Regards,
ken.

WOW Chris,

This is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, love the format also! IT's perfect! Fantastic sky! How can one be so lucky? All the elements working together! The hills beyond are so nice, and well captured.

Now...about that bird...(did you or didn't you?) :)

Great image and not even framed (which on this one doesn't matter at all, it doesn't need anything!)

Lori :)

The give away is only the 'Photoart' label, and the fact that I've known you long enough to remember when you last used the gull motif ;-)

This one is especially good though, undetectable to the naked eye, and so peaceful.

This is just wonderfull..wow!!! Love the composition...reminds me that not everything is just bad...or dark-sided. Thank you..
Warm colour...
I feel dragged to this place.. difficult to 'let it go'... and return to mopping the floors.. ;-)

Love,
Merete :-)

Hi Chris; a wonderful shot, and as you might guess "my kind of picture";>) This would have been very nice even w/o the bird (a gull?), but the bird certainly adds an interesting dynamic. Veru effectively cropped too. Cheers. Craig

Excellent photo Chris - glad your day worked out well I have been sleeping most of it and back on nights tonight lol Still, gives me a good chance to peruse the days finest on here :-)

Peter De Rycke   {K:39471} 8/3/2004
Havin' a great time i read .. mine was not so good as yours .. my good fellow Canon 300D broke down .. ugh ugh..
But your shot makes me stand even firmer than before: this is what we do it for !!!

Regards, Peter

amazing composition...wonderful sunset.

John Beavin   {K:4477} 8/3/2004
Gee Chris, please tell us what you do with all your rejects? If I took as many shots as you I would be spending all my time deleting, for instance the other day I took 15 shots of flying Gulls and had to delete the lot. Perhaps I am in the wrong profession. regards.

Steve Marcus   {K:205} 8/3/2004
Very beautiful, serene scene that you captured there, Chris. Wonderful composition!

Linn Currie   {K:24426} 8/4/2004
Gosh Chris - you ate too much paella and forgot your frame? Very different posting this - compared to your usual work?
I like the overall image - but not sure about the gull?
Dying to see the Gittisham cottages!
Linn

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 8/4/2004
Hi Linn,

Sorry, but there aren't any Gittisham cottages. The weather was none too good and my pictures were worse!!

Check out the new play on words though!!

Best regards, Chris

Tim  Schumm   {K:27167} 8/4/2004
hey nice one .... is that Jonathan Livingston Seagull? I hear he is trained. I find your PS work seamless and amazing. I'm so crude with it using only the basics. You are inspiring me to take a course or do some serious reading soon!

Warm Regards, Tim
