Good capture of a usually quite shy animal.
Maybe a bit more sharpening to bring out the texturing in the coat of spines better, they look soft as it is.

Have you heard them scream during courtship? Kept me up for several nights one year when we had a nest of the buggers in the garden.

Don, they are the most loveble creatures until you try to touch them, then they roll up like a ball with all needles sticking out.

Jeroen, first of all, thank you for visiting my exhibition, that sure was a surprise.
And yes, we hear these buggers quite often, but it's quite unusual for them to fourage during the day.
