every morning down the commuter hwy
First Vision
This smudge murked blur of this mornings new horizon smoke that crept along the ridge crippling the perfection that marked the day's beginning.
And still insistent on marks and pitiful scratchings towers and lines marked out the ridges too splintering the red glow with jagged taught jugular twitchings at the sky, marks from men releasing energy from burning coal.
I drove into this blur I smelled of this smoke my eyes hated the towers no less than yesterday and there was a silent protest my soul seemed to murmur.
