About Once my town Ostend was famous for its horse-races, now the "Hippodrome" is hardly still used for this purpose, and it is sadly visible in the wearing of the buildings and its art objects .. it tried to portrait this horse statue giving it a kind of weary and absent look .. a protest against the neglect.

You took an original angle on this one Peter! The great sky colours in the background adds a lot to a kind of mysterious atmosphere here! I like the composition a lot. Beautiful capture, my compliments! Greetings,
Diana.

Hi Peter, Nice approach, and a very good capture of textures and materials. I like the composition with the pastel sky as background. No distractions by scenery, and a very nice close up. Much stronger than the overview would've been, I think. The perspective adds a very important element too. I do feel this shot is too "clean" and well taken to get the message you describe across properly (looking only at the photo), but I do second your protest....

Cheers,

Hugo

I like your angle. Your perspective, that to me is what makes this a great photo. excellent exposure. Nicely done

Great shot, Peter. The angle makes it a very special view, the story and the colours of the sky give emotion...
Congratulations.

A good image for your message. Sad when this happens. Hope Ostend will find its old charm soon.

Peter, I was in Brussels for a week. I must say Belgium is a wonderful cosmopolitan country. Enjoyed my visit. I have put my photos in "Quiant Belgium" album in my site. This is the URL

If you have time please take a look. You will enjoy. I must say I was not that pleasing about King Leopold.

Regards,
ken.
