Matej, It took me a few seconds to understand what I was looking at. Great concept. Good choice on Black and White.

Ha! Love it.

Igor Herzyk   {K:1937} 8/8/2004
I like the fact that there are so many reflections and pieces of glass, but it's a pity that your eyes cannot be seen - I suppose it's an accident, because you held a camera low and you didn't see the image in the viewfinder. On the other hand now the photo is more mysterious. Sometimes I like the accidental parts of the photographs - they always exist.

Paolo Grusovin   {K:3344} 8/8/2004
excellent!!!!

Christian Barrette   {K:21125} 8/8/2004
Congrats for a well deserved election.
Another kind of panorama ! Very efffective.
I would have considered the title "Me at Wednesday" as you stand in the center of the seven panes.
I got back from Paris this Friday. Still on the jet lag.

Bobby Mun   {K:3688} 8/11/2004

A wonderful picture Matej! Very original. A picture I can look at for a long time, and I will look at it many times.

Ian McIntosh   {K:38813} 8/11/2004
A real joy this shot.
To my eyes has all the comedy timing of a Terry Gilliam cartoon.
I mean my eyes found it a real puzzle but found my bearings on seeing the weeds growing in the rightmost panel and laughed.
Nice nostalgia somehow here too I guess that's primarily in the black and white and the era of the buildings, perhaps also the praktica too (and your tie!).
That car in the poster may be one of the major contributions to dis-orientation!
Love this, a shot in the arm.

Gustavo Eulalio   {K:3774} 8/11/2004

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 6/6/2005
A very well deserved EC award for a great picture which shows a very well-honed eye for a picture.

I think this is a combination of reflections and gaps in the mirror. The DOF is well set, so that we almost can't tell one from the other.

A real photographer's self-portrait, Matej!

Tony Diana   {K:13396} 6/6/2005
Simplemente genial, felicidades

very nice work

Chris Partida   {K:418} 8/5/2005
Well executed, I like that you're holding the camera at waist level. It makes the reflection more humourous. Great photo!

-Chris

Matej Maceas   {K:24381} 8/7/2005
Well, the camera has a waist-level finder, so holding it at waist level was not an unnatural choice :-)

Tobiah Deutsch   {K:2432} 4/10/2006
Matej,

I knew that you got the EC selection a while back, but I hadn't seen it up on the home page until now. Congrats!

Cheers,
Toby

Very interesting point of view... well done.
Congrats for the EC!

Leora Long   {K:9989} 5/27/2008
Congratulations on the award for this intriguing composite. I believe there is one scene in back of you reflected in the middle panel and in the two pillar on either side that have side mirror panels as well.

Then there is the scene straight in front of you that appears in frames 1,3,5 and 7.

Clever puzzle, Matej. Did you bring in the center mirror or is that a third pillar?

I love the picture w/i the picture, too, with you next to the poster.

Cheers and 7+, Leora

Saverio Barchiesi   {K:415} 7/1/2008
