About After the shadow fragments:

http://www.usefilm.com/image/514643.html

here come the mirror fragments ;-)
Please welcome Chrissie (and me) as mirror models.

This mirror composing was part of an exhibition in Nuremberg, and we loved to make some shots here - although we look scary here.

But isn't a mirror weird at all? Each time we look at them, we look different - at least in our mind. It's kind of a every-day-puzzle. and this composing shows a lot of different faces AT ONCE... but is the puzzle solved yet?...

Comments are appreciated a lot.

P.S.: Hugo, you wanted the color versions ;-)

That looks like a great place to take photos. Very fun image. I like how this came out. I can see this working well with color on top of B&W.

Hugo de Wolf   {K:184670} 8/9/2004
Hi Thilo, Thanks for the swift change, my friend!Very creative work, here. Great use of mirrors, background and the two of you. The guy passing adds a very vital element to the tension of this shot, without being too present.

I do find this a very refreshing shot. All aspects work out perfectly. Not only a very original capture, but also perfectly excecuted. Intriguing piece!

Cheers,

Hugo

Thilo,
Your're right about the mirror thing and you're successful here with this concept as well. Very cool indeed.

Very nice capture Thilo, it's surely very puzzling! I like the way the mirros reflected you from different angles, very creative!

glimpses that tease and taunt. Like that tiny taste of intoxicating food....I will keep returning. Good stuff, Carlheinz! ..Brad

Dear Thilo,

Two words:

1. EXCELLENT
2. FAVOURITE

Wow, looks like you guys were having a lot of fun. Congratulations for spotting the great potential with the scene, then going there and turning that potential into a cracking shot.

The "fragmentation" of the reflection, together with the motion blur in the background, combine to create a very dynamic shot, with no single point of interest, but rather loads of little detail that keep the brain interested.

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 8/10/2004
Dear Jim,

thanks for your comment and the b&w/color idea. I think this image has lots of detail... so I would vote just for the color version so that the viewer is not "overkilled" =)

thx, Thilo

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 8/10/2004
Hey Hugo,

thanks for the kind & constructive words. Actually, I thought about posting this in the blurry image section, but as you said: the passing guy is just a cherry and not the center.

I'm glad that the image went out this way. We didn't have much time as the sun faded away (again, like in the shadow fragement shot) and it was getting dark VERY quick.

thanks & take care, Thilo

Hi Uwe,

Witzige Ideen!
Grüsse,Ursula

Dear Debra,

thanks for the kind words. don't worry about the comments I'm very busy at the moment, too. So I know that it's sometimes hard to catch up with comments (I see 30 new images by friend in this moment, LOL!).
take care, Thilo
