About
We recently had a Wild Forest Fire destroy several hundred acres near a famous movie ranch in the Santa Clarita area of Southern California....

We get these massive fires that run amok every year with catastrophic results..

This is my personal favourite... I love the way the shadow falls, creating this weird moon-like landscape and almost upside down vision of things......
It's abstract, and yet keeps me looking all over it, cos it's got lots of movement, ya know?

great natural abstract!

You are right, this is a great abstract. Where do the sticks and and the shadows begin?

They are all pretty good, though. I don't have a favourite from the three. You got in nice different styles for the same subject matter, which shows good experimentation.

yoshi, this one is very interesting as well. very abstract. could be a shot of burnt trees seen from the air or just burnt twigs on the ground. the shadows are excellent and add a mirror-like feeling to the image. as another poster mentioned, you can't tell tell where the twig ends and the shadow begins. i dig it!

take care,
tom

Nice abstract photo, it really looks like some other planet.
