I like your thought behind the image, I think the only improvement would be to crop down on the top-or shoot again leaving no space above-to keep the composition more consistent. Then again its unusual which makes it stand out against other shots like this. You have a good eye for things such as this-love the bloody red against the pale blue-and the deep blue that peeps out from behind the red. I think the two bolts add a lot of interest also. Good eye~

thanks for your comment karen. i actually looked at it again, and decided i liked it on a horizontal better and like you mentioned, i took the bit off the top. what do you think?

I think I like the vertical better, I guess in my mind it makes more sense. Also the composition is better with the off center approach. You know maybe its because I am biased, the more I look at the original, the more I am liking it.
