have you ever taken a bad picture? :) i took a look at your paintings too which are beautiful as well...they strike me as a sort of mix of Van Gogh and Monet...they are very nice! anyways, this is a great picture -- i think i commented before on one similar to it, but the sky in this one is waht really strikes me. great variation of textures and colors here! A sense of deja vu about this one, Tim!
I'm sure I've seen it before somewhere!!
Very nice shot, as always!
Kind regards, Chris

I take lots of "bad" photos i just try not to post them LOL. Yes this is a repost of this one. I posted it before while i was on the road with a poor computer and i didn't like how it looked so i pulled it. now that i'm home and cranked up the sky a bit.
Thanks for all your comments.

Very nicely composed. I like how you arranged to have the tall grass on the sides of the image, creating a "window" to view the water through. Excellent!

Tim  Schumm   {K:27168} 8/10/2004
i hear you are going on a trip or something.....is this the trip out west? If so i have big expectation s on your submissions. Not to put you in a pressure situation......LOL. Have fun if this is the case.

Tim

This is a beautiful scene. Good composure. I personally would crop some of the grass at the bottom.

Thanks for sharing...

Whooott!! hey sounds great!!! when are you off??

karen clarke   {K:18847} 8/10/2004
Wonderful, feel like I am there peeking through the grass at the beautiful view. Great comp.

Margaret Sturgess   {K:49403} 8/10/2004
Lovely composition, feels just as though you are sitting looking through the grasses to a wonderful view.
Thanks for your comment, I can only use the hard drive on my comp so can only use anything I have on my card and use Den's computer, I can only post from his. So very restricting and frustrating, but am taking all sorts of things to try and get something different.
Margaret

I should be off Sept 7th or 8th. Want to travel alot this time, rather than just sit in yellowstone. I have a cousin who is an entertainer (ken Davis) you probably haven't heard of him. Well he has a beautiful "cabin" in the mountains somewhere around Steamboat springs. Well he called me today and ask me if i wanted to use it next month when i go on vacation. You get up in the morning and walk out on the wrap around deck and there are Elk bedded down right in the yard. shouldn't pass that up. so i see a big loop/ coming. all the way from Denver to Glacier if I work it right. CANT WAIT

Rebecca Raybon   {K:26655} 8/11/2004

Beautiful natural peek-a-boo framing...and what a peek it is. A picture perfect painting. Your talent and artistic eye in capturing the landscapes of BC are truly impressive.
