About Fluorescent lighting, hence the filter. Turned out with heavy magenta cast. Fixed somewhat in PS. Next time I'll let Reala do its stuff with the funny light color and leave the filter off.

This is as close as I can get with this lens by itself. Compare to the other photo of Molly (in my portfolio) for the difference a +1.5 diopter makes.

I am the worst to make comments on technique details on photos. I like this one. And other than that I hate to go into detail on portraiture. Every time I do, I find out what I thought or saw was way off...So...I like the diopter comment as well. A magic little item, created and founded by who? Trivia question maybe? By the way I love her big brown eyes and I just know she loved her tatooo....

About the diopter (also called close-up filters and, uh, magnifying glasses!), I just wanted to show how much closer you can focus with one stuck on the end of your lens.

Forgot to mention in the "About" that this was underexposed by at least a stop, maybe 2. Reala seems to not like that as much as overexposure. I always seem to have the wrong film for the situation in my camera, but that's what happens when you just grab it without a lot of thought (I mean, really, who takes their camera to church?). But I wouldn't have some pictures if I didn't try to get at least something. I figure it's better to try and fail than to not, never mind, I'm sounding like a cheesy motivational tape.
