About This is the (first) result of a photo project my son and I performed during these summermonths .. it is an ongoing project, of which you see the first result. The goal was to make recognisable / typical pictures of my home town Ostend, and put together an alphabet at the same time... this was a very good training for the photographic eye, as you can imagine ...

The photo here is the Dutch translation of Ostend Alphabet (Oostends alfabet)

Well it looks like you sure had PHun ;-) on a serious note. this is a very interesting piece of work. I studied it for a lomg time just to see what made each element, My last post took 1 minute to compose and shoot. this is a work of love, and to do it with your son to me just adds to impact and value !

I see you did have to get rather creative to find some of these letters. Well done, I really like the S and B "letters".

I visited your web-page, Mr. De Rycke. As far as I can tell your "Ostend Alphabet" is a beautiful composition of elements taken from that web-page. Very impressive. Before thanking you allow me to invite you to my web-page: http://www.drspringmann.com
Beside a photo of my face you will find there a description of a psychoanlytic book I recently published with the intersted non mental-health professional also in mind, a book that might or might not be of interest to you.
Thank you for your comment on my "Some like it black...". You comment on the mud on the man's skin. Although the photo was taken on the shores of the Mediterreanean, the mud probably originated on the shores of the Dead Sea to which we refer as the Sea of Salt.
Regards,
Dr. Rafael (Rafi) Springmann
