beautiful landscape, beautiful reflections, nice blurry clouds....is it a lake? or somekind of bay?

Chris Hunter   {K:25631} 8/17/2004
Thanks for all comments, always appreciated. I live on a small 15 mile long, 7 mile across island, and this is one of the bays that runs between the island and the surrounding land.

Chris

Kind regards, Chris

Tim  Schumm   {K:26942} 8/17/2004
another wonderful photo....one thing though, the rock on the bottom left draws my attention away from the central portion. if cloned out I think this photo could be even stronger

Warm regards tim

Chris Hunter   {K:25631} 8/17/2004
Yes, that was my thought as well, or in a perfect world, the rock would be on the other (right hand) side of the frame, balancing the black of the trees to the left,

Chris

Hi Chris,

From among your landscape photo, I fell in love with this one, very subtle and its blurry concept adds more drama on this. I wish I can do the same, probably you can teach me how to make a good reflection the subject on the water. Of all tries I have done, it always fails. What's the technique on that?

BTW, thanks for your comment on my "Maglite Sky". Best regards - - -Roel

Thanks Roel. The only things that I have done consistently are: getting up very early, and getting on location 15-30 minutes before the sun rises, shooting with 20+ second exposures w/ f-stops of 16+. I suppose the most important thing for the reflection is the glass-like still water that pickups the early morning blue sky and surrounding trees. Good luck,

Chris
