Carmen, me alegro muchisimo que estes de vuelta y con una foto tan buena, a primera vista me parece una garza bueyera o garza de los bueyes(Bubulcus ibis), esta especie es natural de africa pero segun las cronicas, debido a una gran tormenta mientras migraban cambiaron su rumbo y terminaron en sud america. felicitaciones querida amiga

Carmem , para seu estilo achei um pouco forçado o trato que deu na agua..perde-se um pouco a qualidade da imagem ; se for pensar pelo aspecto artístico tudo bem , a agua parece ter efeito aquarela painting

Agua suja de mar de Floripa..não tem PS aqui! Não lembro se tem crop...faz dias que editei, estavaem outro site.
Um pouco de sharpening na ave.. e só.

A moldura é no Paint Shop com add borders .
As vezes,a gente enxerga o mundo com o próprio prisma e esquece dos outros.

Hi Carmem, The harmonious tones in the background make the bird come out very well. The subdued light cuuses a slight motion blur in the tail, which makes it actually move foreward a bit (not a static pose, if you know what I mean). Well composed. The brightness could be increased a bit, IMO, though.
Looking more clearly, I get the impression it's some kind of fog or cloud, judging by the way it subtly "flows" over the rock. Or did you apply a blur on a different layer, partially removed? Very intrieguing. At first I thought it was water, but considering the f/8, and the DOF in the background, I don't think that is it. In that case, the right edge of the pedestal the bird is standing on would've been more defined. I also think it's not the slow shutterspeed that softens the water over the rock, as 1/30' is too short for that. It puzzles me....;)

I don?t know why comments sometimes don?t work in work in UF..I posted the previous reply twice.. I thought it was caused by url addition.. so that I?ve posted another version without a url.. and them the two versions appeared..
Only a good observer could identify the drizzle spraying conditions ..
I don?t it makes any difference.. but real f value was 7.4.
Thank you again: as I said before..."I want to be as good as you do when I grow up"...

Glad you are back okay, we seem to go from one problem to another, we were offline for a while, I could only post images if I worked on Dens machine, fingers crossed at the moment I can work on mine and and then on Dens machine. So i have missed quite a lot like you, you can't be expected to catch up with everything.
Enough about computer troubles - this is lovely composition, he really looks as though he can't decide if it is too cold to jump in,
