About "I prowled the streets all day, feeling very strung up and ready to pounce, determined to 'trap' life - to preserve life in the act of living. Above all, I craved to seize the whole essence, in the confines of one single photograph, of some situation that was in the process of unrolling itself before my eyes."
(Henri Cartier-Bresson)

Dedicated to the "Acknowledged Master of the Moment" - while not in "Leica Style" - in tribute of his "Decisive Moment"!

Shot on Upper East Side - NYC - one in series.

Wow, does this make me homesick! NYC!

So many stories all around you.

Very quick on the draw here, missy. Looks like you are very close to the action.

A shot I would love to have taken - definitely going in my favs.

Cheers, Leora

P.S. Great BW.

Nice moment. I really feel the streets.

I noticed that you use an Nikon D70. How do you manage with the sensor dust? (need help here)

Hi Alvin thanks for your comment and here's a little help on the sensor dust issue. First off it's "gonna happen regardless" and the more you use your camera...the more you need to address...See page 166 in the D70 manual and/or DUST REF PHOTO in Index...in a nut shell after following the instructions it's like a "self cleaning" mode...If that doesn't work then you may try the "LOW PASS FILTER" instructions - personally I wouldn't trust myself with the state-of-the-art mechanics, but would send to Nikon in Long Island...but try the DUST REF PHOTO it worked for me -- as well, I found when before using the DUST REFERENCE the particles were more intense in smaller aps and with strobe...the camera's focus is so intense to begin with it really jumped at that point, but I am happy to say the DUST REFERENCE worked like a charm - another added benefit to the D70 - this camera really rocks huh?!

Oh dear Cindi this is wonderful.
You could freeze a fantasic sweet moment.
I like to see the effect on the background guy's face. Great composition and superb B&W.

Ps Thanks for your kind comment on my floral pic.
To your Q, the lens is a built in one, made by Fuji.
Used by other brands as HP...
6x optical zoom
1:2.8-3.1 !!!
f=7.8-46.8mm
2 type of adapters are available, a wide and a tele one.

If you like a similar one for Nikon, i can advise one with built in 5x? and 10x? macro and ?-135? zoom function.
I have to check it, because it is not mine, my father had it for his Nikon. He Hungarian Nikon office was surprized when i took it there after a drop. Sorry for the mistakes but there is 3:02am
i think i should go to sleep.
Good night!
