From the south edge of Bryant Park, I shot this photo of an eleganty-dressed doorman in an elegant doorway of the "Radiator Building."
This building, on W. 40th Street, has an art deco base and a Gothic tower of black brick with gold-leaf trim. It's much more beautiful and striking that it sounds. It was originally named the American Radiator Company Building, then American Standard Building. It fell into disrepair for many years, but recently was bought by a consortium that fixed it up and reopened it as Bryant Park Hotel
