About We got a 70 year old street artist (yes, he even balanced of the bottle of champaigne), a disabled man, young girls, curious pedestrians... everything combined, that's street life in Nuremberg.

More to come from a UF mini-meeting with Carlheinz (incredible portfolio, take a look
http://www.usefilm.com/photographer/30360.html) and Chrissie.

Comments are appreciated a lot.

Hi Thilo, Just out of curiosity; why use a 1/1000' shutterspeed and an aperture of f/4? It creates a softness over this image, which I'm not sure about if it does the shot justice. Maybe I'm missing something here?

The tonal range and contrasts are very well balaced, and I like the activity in this shot. It creates a very appealing image. Well composed. The old street artist adds the finishing touch here. Very unusual sight, but his contrasting pose sure draws the attention.

Good shot, well captured!

Cheers,

Hugo

you did catsh it all -- is that a giant lightbulb on his lap...good eye and title -- I have to agree this is a little too soft for my taste...otherwise -- good one -- How is your bro...he's been awful quite as of late...Kev

LG,Ursula

Great street shot!
I like very much the B&W contrast!
Good work!
Greetings.

Dear Hugo,

first of all: thanks for the precious comments, really appreciate that.
as for the technical aspect: that's the typical "wrong lens for the situation"-scenario. I passed by with my wide angle lens, watched the scene and then tried to shoot it with 35mm (x1.5) with the given minimal aperture value. that's the reason for 1/800th and f/4.5 (actual values), nothing else... in addition, the lens is really awful with the D70... my lens testing project comes to its' final stages. =)

thanks for the compliments.
take care,
thilo

Dear Kev,
great idea with the light blub ;-)
as for the unsharpness: please check my comment to Hugo.

my bro was in germany the last 10 days so virtually no chance for him to upload or comment. but he will be back with some cracy stuff we shot - I think you will love this pictures.
take care,
thilo

Pues la botella sujiere embriaguez :) Yo por el contrario creo que el 1/1000 le ayudo a conjelar, que de otra manera seria dificil

A very nice, interesting and original documentary shot. First I thought the man on hands were showing the wheelchair man that we don't need legs to walk! Very good, and very nice feeling!
