Wow, now that is what I would call "Super Macro". Any closer and the camera would be sneezing from hay fever !!

The colours are fabulous Mary and the detail is just awesome !

Great composition and just look at all that pollen - just makes me feel like I should be a bee lol

Best wishes,
Steve

great shot, Mary Sue. I love the how the strength of this shot is found in it's bold simplicity. Strong, compelling macro work, great colour & tones, & beautiful strength of detail. Really lovely. Well done!

Mary Sue, I like the results you are getting in your macro work with the 100mm f/2. And, it looks like you are getting this blur even with f/11 - wow. Well done. I enjoy all of your florals... Keep 'm coming. Sam

Wow! I'm amazed at what a tight DOF despite f/11. How close were you to the pollen?
Larry

Thank you for your very generous comments on my images. You sure have been busy tonight!

How close...the camera was probably no more than eight inches from the flower, probably less. I should have paid attention to that.

In general, I work very close to the subject, especially for flowers. The most interesting part to me is the part that might not be noticed as a single element, like the anthers or perhaps a petal's edge.

Thanks again for all your comments!

Its function becomes even more apparent when this close. Just lovely!

Mary Sue, I remember you wondering about the Polaroid back for the Holga in Forums. Someone else requested photos of how the setup looked like, so I took photos of the Holgaroid. Email me for the URL to the website that has the pics. I don't think they'll let me mention it here.
