I was at the Jewish American Reunion Festival yesterday in Baltimore, and at one point, I spotted the familiar face of Rabbi Schmuel Kaplan. Rabbi Kaplan is known throughout the Baltimore-Washington area as warm and generous individual, tirelessly devoted to the Jewish Community.
At one point, I saw him walking with his small granddaughter. She gestured to him to be picked up, and as he lifted her up to him, his face glowed with peace and happiness.
