Stupenda, come tutta la serie di Mr.M, in questa in particolare mi colpisce la profondità di campo che focalizza bene chi sia il suo "magro" avversario e dalla sua espressione sembra che Mr.M abbia appena annunciato la scala reale.....

bella risposta al mio questito. Tu hai la faccia di chi la sa lunga...ma ricordati che a pocker non si è mai sicuri di vincere... perchè come tu ben sai la scala reale massima batte il pocker ma è battuta dalla scala reale minima....Ma la cosa più importante è che dalla foto ho finalmente capito qual'è la posta in palio...
Buona fortuna e spero proprio di rivederti presto Mr.M...!

grazie per i commenti.
In qualche modo questa immagine è la continuazione della precedente dove "Mr.M gioca la sua partita contro la storia".
I legami potrebbero essere tantissimi visto che nella precedente giocava a carte contro dei soldati del vecchio esercito dei Savoia ed ora invece tiene in mano una scala reale...
Ma chissà se poi stanno giocando a Poker! :-)

Io la leggo così: siccome i rapporti con le donne , in fondo, possono essere paragonati ad una partita a poker, Mr.M. sta cercando la strategia giusta per far breccia nel cuore della sua amata.
Deve riuscire a trovare il giusto mix di abilità, fortuna e (purtroppo) qualche bluff.

trip un po' dark, il mio.
sara' che ho appena finito di leggerlo, ma mi viene in mente il dilemma che attanaglia jack e babette, due dei personaggi di white noise (de lillo)...ovvero: who will die first?
non sono sicura vorrei ritrovarmi nei panni di mr m con la vittoria in pugno, ma senza poterla condividere con nessuno.
pensa tra l'altro che esiste una teoria allucinante che sostiene che chi uccide lo fa' per difendersi dalla paura della morte, affermando la propria vita di fronte alla morte altrui.

This just might be the peak high-point in the Mr. M series so far. Great, great photograph. Great idea, perfectly realized. It's serious and somehow funny at the same time. Having Mr. M play a Royal Flush is a touch of pure genius. Of course Mr. M wouldn't just play any old hand. Let's see you top this picture, Giuliano! You keep putting the bar higher and higher. Hi Giuliano! This is genial, and I would like to see this as short movie....because it already is, but like stills - day after day in Mr. M?s life (fiction life)... There?s a lot of humor going on here and the title is superb. 7++
