This picture entices me by its wonderfully subtle and narrow color scheme.This in addition is very well accentuated by the skillful framing, which conveys a sense of harmony by the photographer that is mirroring the harmony of the subject of the sea birds quietly and elegantly mastering their environment even when it appears rough to us.
I am not so happy with the composition, since the first gull (actually I think they are sea swallows) is looking away from the viewer and thus (emotionally) takes itself out of the picture. The other swallow is relatively small in the picture but visually has to compete with its (non participating)partner. My suggestion: (if you are not opposed to PS) clone out the first bird and then possibly crop (if possible) to give the right bird more presence. Just a suggestion: Good picture right now! Thanks for your comment. These birds were flying low over the water, looking for food. Sometimes they dive into the water... very nice to watch. It was difficult to "catch" them with my camera... they were so quick!

I really like this photograph a lot. The movement in the choppy water, birds flying, it all works so well together!
Love the camera angle; especially like the fact that there is no horizon line. BEAUTIFUL!!
On another note, I just visited your website. Very nice paintings you do!! (and excellent photography)...If I had to pick a painting, I don't know which one it would be, so many of them I really like.
I especially liked the 'Blue Columbines'....but then the ones of the bottles are really awesome. And I liked the Ice Skater also!! You are so talented. You're watercolors have a very nice and unique style!!
