Dear Peter,
the tonal is wisely chosen, it supports the mood in the scene. I love two things here. first, the light beams giving the image a very dynamic and diagonal look. second the just hinted "shore" and the well-contrasted silhouettes of the two pedestrians. This image is just amazing. small note: I would add light frame.
