About Subject Background: The back side of a partially destroyed building. I loved the colors, the textures and the differences in geometry when I walked by. I know that this comes near a painting... but hey, it's still a picture from a digital camera ;-)

Photoshop concept: Just worked on the textures with contrast settings.

As always: Honest feedback highly appreciated.

Very good geometry shot again. Not very common to see a photo with showing this much that still retains the feeling of an artwork produced on canvas. The lean on the right hand side bothers me a little, but it is hard to correct for since it seems that it is not a linear function across the image. The treatment of the colors/contrast really appeals to me.

sehr fotogene abstracte Häuserfront, die Farben gefallen mir sehr gut!
LG, Pia :)

Dear Stefan,

thanks for the lenghty and elaborate comment. I really tried hard to get rid of the strange bows in the right part of the image (using your tool, thanks for the hint!). but as you stated, this is an abnormal geometry problem... and I guess that the building itself is somehow bended in some way.

thanks for the critics my friend,
thilo

Nice abstract, good eye, the PS'sing looks a little bit artificial, though. But captivating shot! Cheers Jorg

Great work... but a few strong and very satured, I think. The colors mix is amazing!

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 9/21/2004
Dear Jorg,

thanks for the honest feedback. it's for sure a bit artificial, but I just changed contrast and hue. nothing else ;-)
take care,
thilo

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 9/21/2004
Dear Lukasz,

thanks for the comment. I may look like cross processing, but the colors were there and they were just enhanced by contrast and hue. =)
take care,
thilo

This one is beautiful

Stephen Bowden   {K:64513} 9/21/2004
Excellent work Thilo, took me a while to take in the whole picture to see what it was originally :-)

Good composition and the contrast adjustments are super. I wonder if you used "curves" at all ?

It does make a great abstract!

Best wishes,
Steve
