These are the ruins of Anasazi dwellings located in Canyon de Chelly, AZ. Thousands of Anasazis once thrived in this village but mysteriously disappeared in the late 1500 to early 1600's. Archaeologists still do not know the exact reason. Some say it was due to prolonged drought yet others say they were massacred by the Spanish conquistadors.
