The birds add so much to the shot. Great tones.

The children and the birds are really nice. They make the shot. The detail is right on, focus and exposure are perfect. The tilted horizon is what bothers me.

Wonderful expression, textures and tones, especially in the foreground, I do agree that the horizon needs straightening, but don't be disheartened. Even the best photographers have this trouble every now and then. The overall composition on this is beautiful!

Dina,
I have read your Bio and this image does NOT support it at all because the horizon is indeed a serious error, the clarity is lacking, the composition is off-center to the left, the birds are unclear, and most of all it is NOT a true B&W because the tech details are written as color digital.
Thanks for sharing nevertheless and Best of Regards!

Douglas, I have now read your bio and for someone that is "trying not to take life so serious" you sure got serious on your critique here! :-0
The tilt here is subjective, the toning was not intended to be black and white, the birds are clearly in motion. Again, the off centered crop is subjective and if I may ask, how does this picture NOT support my bio? Your feedback is welcome. Best of Regards, Dina Marie

To my eye, and my way of thinking, rigid rules are made to be tested, and the horizon tilt here successfully tests the rule that all horizons need be the same . . . I like the sense of movement it creates by that very testing of our expectations . . .

I actually love the tilt...give the photo a dynamic feeling. Same with the off center composition. Clarity is lovely. :)

Dina.. this is an outstanding example of your ability to capture a mood. The sepia tone is rich and appropriate. Seems like the boy is deep in thought, and the girl smells a camera...this is really great! ....Brad
