About From my Photoart series. 3 layers of textures added and finally a texture of sandstone over the top. Eyes coloured in a colour layer making a total of 5 different textures and effects. Some dodge and burn also added. Without creativity we have nothing.

The face of your daughter works very good with your photoart...she looks kind of..mysterious...sorry, I can't describe it in english...but it looks great!

Did you want to emulate Leonardo da Vinci or any classic with this paint? Nice idea, but, in my opinion, overdone.

layering and blending and coloring and experimenting can be sooooo exciting for us who apply them, and it's good when the results are appealing to the viewers,as well ;-)

One of the best photoart pieces I've seen, great work. Love the way it is composed and your methods used to achieve this result. The only thing I might do is drop down the saturation a notch or two on the eyes, but still leaving them the center of attention.

Howie, I'm so much in two minds about this series. I like some, don't others. Are you using your own photos to create backgrounds or computer generated textures? This one I like because as Maria mentioned Stevie's photogenic face really suits a variety of situations, the only part I dislike is the dark smudge under her bottom lip which distracts and becomes the focus for me as if it's some kind of little beard. You're riht about creativity and you have certainly come up wityh something interesting and with some honing tyhere will be some standouts.

Howie Mudge   {K:23894} 9/26/2004
Thanks for the comments Ian and this kind of work is always something either people like or dont like. Im using layers with photographs of walls, bricks, stones and anything else I can overlay on the photograph. The only texture I used from photoshop was the final texture/sandstone. Other than that, its all photographs.

Great work! Very well done! Excellent editing skills. I always felt that it doesn't matter how you get there, it is the end result that matters and this is a great end result.
