About A walk on the beach with the wife and dog. I had to go see what the dog was looking at and was walking back to the beach when I saw this shot.

I wonder what she's thinking about? Nicely framed between the tree branches.

Nice moment. I like the tree branch framing the girl.

I like the position of the person in between the branches :) Nice work.

Maybe it is just that the fish were not biting and so taking a break. Del.

Brilliant composition! Wonderful depth of field.
Well done!

I'm always drawn to these type shots. while it's not possible to know exactly what this person is dealing with,we have all been in situations of contemplation in solitude...of any of life's many problems, and can relate to this situation.
This capture is composed well, with a loose cropping that portrays solitude(except for us peeking through the branches, and the gentle waves breaking on shore. The muted colors and light add to the atmosphere. And I like that it's a spontaneous photo, not prestine and a staged appearance.

(I had a thought at last moment of it in BW and tried it,which I included)

Thanks for the nice comment, Randy. What happened to the B&W???

Randy Lorance   {K:24769} 10/24/2004
Sorry Brian, didn't mean to destroy your photo. I believe when I resized to add to comment,I inadvertently had setting on bilinear resize.
Hope this is better.

great composition. i love the moment you captured here. i wonder what it would have looked like with the branches in focus and the person blurred in the background. nice shot.
