Bryan: I have been appreciating your portafolio and I have been impresed of the good photographer that you are, you have excellent pictures, I was also a fireman in Peru for many years but now I don't have time neither physique for that ,hahaha, I am too fat :)
here fireman's work is voluntary and we don't receive any pay to make it, But there are many men and women that are proud of being part of the voluntary firemen body , you know well that this is carryed in the blood and one makes that more for a vocation than for a pay.
About the technique of color of my picture "Sad Innocence" it is very easy of making, only you have to duplicate the original layer of your pic and transform it into B&W , then the color copy of the original put it over the B&W and you give it some transparency, that is all dear friend. I have used your excellent picture to give you an example. Greetings from Peru and your pic go directly to my favorites.

Amazing picture of the firefighter, and a handsome guy he is! Add those beautiful red reflections from the truck, and you have one hell of a good image here! 7+++

The exhaustion on his face and the detail of the work remnants on the firefighter tells its own story. Excellent.

Thankyou also for commenting on my images. Judi

Great Shot. Do you see a lot of fire in your dept? Dottie

Brian Rueger   {K:7312} 11/5/2004
Dorthy, my fire dept services a city of 147K. Like anywhere we have cycles. We'll have a day where we have several fires. One day last week, we had three "working" apartment fires. They were not serious but they destroyed the fire of origin apt and the one below and above. They we'll go for days to a week without a fire.

Tks for the comment.
