Hi Neil, I looked at this photo and liked it, but almost didn't stop to comment because,though I really liked the candid capture and the comp. in general, I thought their were some distracting elements in it. As I started to move on, I had to go back to it again to tack another look.
It seemed it was a photo made for doing a little PS photoart work to, and I hope you don't mind that I played with it. If you do, I understand and will never again, and you have permission to take one of my photos and trash it :) I wouldn't have proceeded at all if I didn't see that you do have appreciation for some photoart.
Anyway, I hope you like what I have tried, or at least don't hate it. If I didn't really like your original image, I wouldn't have played with it at all.

OK with me - I don't really care too much as long as I credited with things that are mine.
As to what you've done - I think the removal of the lampposts is a good choice - honestly didn't think of it before - so thanks for the suggestion. Not so sure about the colour - I like the warmth of the evening light as it is.
But I agree it's probably not a great work of art - but then it was the humourous aspect that made me post it. I do wonder what the two guys were saying to each other (maybe - "did you see that guy back there with the camera - do you think we should do something silly?" :)

Thanks for the comment and decided to have a look at your portfolio. Wow They are nealy all magnificent 7+ quality.
It's a shame there isn't a way to comment on someone's portfolio in their personal page so as to preserve the impression you get from a person's complete works.
