About Correspondence, photographs and memorabilia, part of a collection documenting the life of a family over four generations. LIfe, death, passion, anger... triumph and despair. It's all there. The photograph in this picture is the oldest item shown and was taken in Scotland ca. 1900. The medals are from the First World War and the letters are mostly from the 1920s. Taken under natural light.

The intangible things can be revealed in memorabilia such as these, where words fail to communicate. I like your careful and yet somewhat informal arrangement of the objects for the resulting photograph. I hope you continue to add to these.

When a photo makes me go off and search, it was worth the effort, at least in my book. And as a photo, it stands well on its own. A slight rearranging of the color items might balance out a lot of the open white of the letters, but the lighting is fantastic. Check out that link. Very interesting.

Just amazing to capture the history of lives like this. So poignantly significant.
