Hi Zeev, The embossing is not a commonly used tool, and I do like the effect, as it creates a sense of movement and dynamism within this shot. Creative post processing!

On second thought, I wonder if it's absolutely necessary, but that's an easy statement, as I haven't seen the original image. One thing is for sure, it's beautifully composed, and I love the high saturated tones. Good shot!

Cheers,

Hugo

PS: thanks for your comment.

Wow the blurry trees which must be the embossing and the turn in the road give it a lot of movement, great play of light and shadows. defenitely a pretty drive. Alison

Dave Stacey   {K:120173} 10/2/2004
It does look like a painting, Zeev! I can see the sense of lonliness you'd get driving seemingly into the trees around the bend. Colours are very good!
Dave.

You did a very good job on your "Green lonesome road", Zeev. The embossing lokks almost like a third dimension and the composition leads the eye, like in others of your photos, into the distance.
Thank you for your comment on my "Glasscorn and lamps".
Shalom,
Rafi

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47644} 10/4/2004

Olga Melissa   {K:19360} 10/6/2004
What I like most here is the contradiction. It is three dimensional and still , so unreal!

Cheryl Ogle   {K:24494} 10/10/2004
Great "watering" effects. Using Photoshop or something else? I like that it looks like a photo turning into a painting. Might be cool to erase the masking on the road part for a sharper contrast?

Zeev Scharf   {K:24824} 10/11/2004
Manyy thanks Cheryl for your kind remark, the effect was achieved with photoshop, what do you mean by "to erase the masking on the road part for a sharper contrast"?
Best regards

Cheryl Ogle   {K:24494} 10/12/2004
Zeef,
In Photoshop, when you apply a filter - you can erase it on the picture if you make a copy of the background. I was thinking that it would be a neat contrast - road into painting effect (like it leads you there). I love photoshop too. Expensive, but certainly one of the best investments I've ever made. Have you checked out www.wacom.com? They have some excellent "tricks" to do with Photoshop.
Again - I really like the picture you took. It takes me back to childhood when a road like that had so much impact on me.
Sincerely, Cheryl
