About Photographed about a week ago, while 'out and about'...yes, through the windshield! Couldn't resist, this scene looked so funny to me! (I'm easy to please)

Then decided to play a bit, and thought it was kind of neat in black and white!

How often doesn't one get a chance to see this? :)

LOVE it! it looks like two pic combined together
Defiantly looks good in black and white it might have been distracting in color
gorgeous toning lori

Yep. Lori, you caught as it is. My biggest beef with the location is that darn traffic signal that is always in the way.

Jim Christensen   {K:18843} 10/3/2004
neat range of era's ! I agree B7W works really good here. color through the windshield gets tainted, at least my windshield does.

Nice job, Lori. I see why you thought this was worth sharing. B&W was a great choice.

Mark

Lori: excellent picture, congratulations.
PS: I knew that in it USA the gasoline is very expensive, but, to put sail to an automobile is an exaggeration, hahahaha

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 10/3/2004
A great juxtaposition of the old and new, Lori ~ and, yes, it does look good in B&W.
Best regards, Chris

Hi Lori, On first glance, I thought this was the new, wind powerd car; but only momentarily...:) Nice tonal range, and a scenery definately inviting to take a shot at. Unususual vision for sure. I think the quality of the shot plays tricks on the ropes and lines in the ship, and a bit much so. Other than that a nice image.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Hugo,
HOW ARE YOU?? Hope all is well!

Thanks for your comment. I was curious about those lines looking so funny, I was thinking maybe because it was taken through the car window...I did shoot it at a much lower quality since my card was almost full, and naturally forgot to bring the second card with me. I did use Neat Image for noise, but the lines looked like that right from the beginning.

Yes, at the rate gasoline prices are rising this might be the transportation of the future, who knows?!! :) But this scene just struck me SO FUNNY, my poor husband, who was driving, had to remain a few seconds longer after the light turned green so I could quickly fish the camera out of my purse....should have a vocal recording of it, would be funny!

Nice to hear from you...and THREE times!! Thanks for your nice comments.

Lori :)

well this is a unique photo a very interesting contrast between what seems very old but wonderfu thing and the new i like the lines of the clouds and how it goes with the boat

Mark Julian   {K:35519} 10/4/2004
Dear Lori, that's a good title cause it does look like it's in the parking lot. Interesting shot and I think the B/W works well on this one. Take Care, Mark

A car with sails ! With the price of petrol soreing I would not be surprissed if someone actually mounted a sail on the roof.

Very interesting and intrigueing.

regards,
ken.

BILL MAHLER   {K:5882} 10/8/2004
Beautiful Image Lori ........ Very striking. Can't figure this out tho.. Is she coming or going..... almost full sail ..at dockside. Are those "hands" unfurling or furling the sail? ..Go back and find out .. will ya? lolololo.:)))

~~~~~~~~~~ Best ... Bill
Lori Stitt   {K:74437} 10/8/2004
I have no clue what they are doing, but they look as though they know what they should be doing.
It was toward the end of the day so they are probably rolling them up. (I know you will laugh at that wording) LOL
It's docked, but usually the sails are up, on most days. I was in a car waiting for the green light. So it was in the background and I thought it looked really neat!
L :)
BILL MAHLER   {K:5882} 10/8/2004
