Did you manage this with the 300D ????????????
I did a lot of research telling me this cam was really not suited for this task .. would very much like to do this too, and was thinking of the Hoya 72 too..
Could you show (or mail) me the original shot please ? Do you have other shots coming out of the cam that are worth showing ? What kind of shutterspeeds and apertures did you have ?

Very interesting, my friend ! I think your shot looks really pleasing !!

Peter

Hey Cessy I am glad you liked the adjustemnt,if you work with photoshop in color balance move the slider from blue to magenta as desired
Best regards

cessy karina   {K:14205} 10/4/2004
hi Peter, first many people also said that to me. but my friend has used 300D+R72 with pretty much good result, so I am encourage to try :). my first results are all red :((, even I played with the channel mixer to swap the colors, the results still not really good. the key is the use of white balance. so we have to use custom white balance, which you got from shooting a white paper. for this shot, I used speed : 30s and diafragma f/9.

am still learning how to get more sharp focus though, a friend told me to focus a closer object. surely am going to try more :). cheers, cessy

Fantastic photo and incredible work Cessy - I would love to know further about the settings you use and how you play with the channel mixer.

I wonder what is done on the camera and then in PS afterwards - I would love to do something like this :-)

Best wishes,
Steve

cessy karina   {K:14205} 10/5/2004
thanks stephen. Am not good yet with IR, still learning, but here what I did with camera :
- speed 30s, diafragma : f/9
- custom white balance (I use white paper first)
- finding where the sun lights (this one is from the left side). I heard that different direction of sun rays also affecting the colors. I tried once with sun at my behind, the colors are less colorful

with PS :
I did with what I found in this UF forum how to swap colors :
http://www.usefilm.com/photo_forum/14/2927/?highlight_str=infrared
I download the actions on the website mentioned by Betsy Hern

cheers,
cessy
