About My grandson. Cropped severly due to a right side that blew out from the window light, the left side was too dark. Lightened with fill flash, the oil painting filter applied. I liked the vintage look. But then, I'm partial to any of images of him :) Loved this very grainy look.

Good-looking boy!
Great portrait and very nice work with the grain.
Kisses.

This is wonderful Rebecca. The straw hat, the freckles, the grain and the soft B/W tones and focus give this an absolute vintage quality. The wide-eyed innocence is a bonus.

Rebecca, great job. One of those happy accidents in the art world aided by your creative expression in PS. Such a unique & lovely portrait. Regards, Dottie

As you said on a previous photo of mine with a lighting error, "Accidents are sometimes meant to happen ". Great job with the image, I like the entire mood. yuo did a great job bringing out the image with PS.

Love that straw hat. Other than the small blown out area, the uncropped version looks great also. I shot some Ilford b&w of my granddaughter yesterday for my class project. I hope they turn out o.k.

Ken Alexander   {K:3905} 10/4/2004
Beautiful portrait--very effective technique! I tried making it a little lighter; it looked great that way too.

Neal Nye   {K:15827} 10/4/2004
Wonderful job of turning a beautiful portrait into a more beautiful portrait. I'd have been happy with the first one, but your treatment of the second added a lot of feeling. Admirable job.

Dave Stacey   {K:114933} 10/4/2004
Interesteing shot, Rebecca! As you say, it has that old photo look. Good rescue of a shot that didn't quite turn out as you originally planned!
Dave.

I could look at this sweet innocent face all day. What a darling close up of Chris. Looks like a Amish boy. Good Job Rebecca.

Tim Long   {K:9210} 10/25/2004
Outstanding, Rebecca. This one grabbed me. I love the composition, the expression, the blur, the BW and the texture. I bet there's more of him in this shot than in a dozen color portraits. Well done.
