Teunis this is outstanding - the detail and toning are incredible :-)
The look of expectation on the dogs face is just brilliant, even it's paw is slightly raised ready for the fast getaway and retrieve !

Hi Teunis, Ziet er goed uit in zwart wit! Ik zou het contrast een tikkeltje versterken. De intersactie tussen man en hont is geweldig. Heel fraai! Heb even moeten wennen aan de krappe compositie boven, rechts en onder, maar hoe langer ik naar de foto kijk, hoe beter het past; een tikkeltje ongewoon, maar zeer effectief. (een tikkeltje ongewoon is vaak erg goed, en zo ook hier...;o)

Bedankt voor je commentaar,inderdaad iets meer contrast zou kunnen , ja een tikkeltje ongewoon, het ging mij om de concentratie op de man z,n gezicht en dat van de hond, de stok had ik ook helemaal maar ik heb vor de aandacht aller er omheen zo klein mogelijk gehouden , het gaat niet om de stok , maar om de aandacht,ook niet om het gras er omheen, De man staat klaar de stok te gooien dat kun je zowel aan z, n benen asl aan z,n gezicht zien.
Dus voor de aan dacht op de concentratie een tikkeltje ongewoon

Nice try in new fields Taunis. I like the expression of the man and dog, and the bw mood. The sky is overburnt and distracts a little bit. May be you can apply a gradient over it and blend it with a multiply mode in photoshop to add some information there.

I like it.. it has something special in it! They really pop out from the background.. great tones and light.. very good texture! The little blur adds to a nice feeling i think.. if it would have been sharper. it might had lost its good soul. Really great expressions as well!
