I do like a good landscape, and this definatly fits the bill. It could be Loch Moy, which is a stone throw away from Culloden battlefield. If it is, the larger of the islands you should be able to make out a small castle.

I was mistaken about the location of this photo ( I drive around Scotland everyday so can get confused at times).
It was taken in Fife, between Aberdour and Burntisland looking into the Forth
