sehr schönes stillleben und dramatische schattenspiele ;-)
ich würde hier ja fast mal SW probieren, weil du sowieso nur der pflanze etwas farbe "spendiert" hast. und wenn ich schon dabei bin: ich denke, man sollte hier vielleicht noch etwas herumschnippeln... hmmh... ich häng jetzt einfach mal das an, was ich mir so überlegt habe. =)
wie immer: nimm das bloß nicht ernst, was ich schreibe =) ich finde das original wirklich gut.

What I am drawn to here, is the geometrics. There is SOMETHING going on here, with the angles and negative space that really jumps right off the page! The balance is screwy..but perfect. The angle of the window looks wrong..but so right!
Though I cannot put my finger on it...there is something magical about this composition. You have a unique eye, Ursula! ..Brad

Hi Ursula, creative use of light and dark, and very effective lighting on the plant. The light through the leafs is very nice, but I think the hard contrast in the shadow area is a bit too much. It seems to wipe out a part of the shadows.
Also, the sky through the window is a bit dull, both resulting in a perceived loss of quality. A pitty, as I like the idea alot, and I think the shot is well composed. It just needs some more subtlety in the shady parts and the window; a bit more textures, as well as a revival of the tones.

Hi Thilo,ich finde mein Foto eigentlich recht unattraktiv ,und in BW wird das noch verstärkt(nur meine Meinung),das hatte ich schon probiert,drum ist es mir ehrlich gesagt in Farbe lieber,und ich finde die Proportionen eigentlich auch nicht soo verkehrt...;)...man muss ja nicht immer einer Meinung sein..:))

Hi Hugo,many thanks for your detailed comment,which I appreciate very much and I see,what you mean.You are totally right.I found this shot in any case too dull and boring...so played around in phtoshop,until I couldn't see any more ;)
Now I tried to go back and here is another attempt....may be too pale now...
