The best one in the series. Scary and absurd. A half naked thin, bald woman serving something. It is a very good image made even better with that altertnative process. It is hartd to tell wether it's a real woman, a painting or something in a store window. 7 +

Magnus

PS: By the way...........you are the woman I love despite my mood swings. FININGEN min

Incredible shot - the unsualness of the subject really makes this a striking image which is only enhanced by the effect!

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59985} 10/9/2004
Thankyou Teunis for your comment. It was hard for me to go in to the shop and put a shirt on the doll. She is not human and I have to admit that I did?nt try... But see it in this way, the owner used this toppless doll to get more people in the shop. Yes i know, toppless woman here on the site gets a lot of visitors but not so much comments.
Have a nice weekend.

Best regards/ jeanette

Good opening of the new series Jeanette.

Lars Raun   {K:1701} 10/9/2004
I'm sucked into this picture. Amazing and surprising face on that doll. Love the texture, creating a hybrid between photo and painting. Strange that she's holding a cake, but the red cake really tops this photo off. Fantastic and inspiring work, thank you.

Ferran Lacruz   {K:5412} 10/9/2004
Un imagen muy subrrealista me gusta el proceso efectuado a la imagen de da un toque misterioso.
Saludos Ferran

lavendu ...   {K:4882} 10/9/2004
I'm a late but enthusiastic visitor who cannot resist to this wonderful offer. I'm addicted to your cakes :-)))

Mitchell Miller   {K:3016} 10/10/2004
Jeanette, You are a truly original and creative talent! Your portfolio is amazing! Your work should be hanging in a museum!!!!!

Stefan Engström   {K:24473} 10/10/2004
Looks like a man's head from here. That hardly makes "her" any less unusual. The red cake manages to grab attention with its color. Your treatment inserts an interesting layer between the straight photo and how I come to approach the image as you present it here.

David Bircham   {K:1300} 10/10/2004
Fascinating series Jeanette! There is so much more to it than meets the eye. The skirt with lips is really interesting. Was this a photo collage before the polaroid transfer? David

Emgy Massidda   {K:60169} 10/10/2004
The way you present your images is original and very artistic. I love this one! Nice title, fascinating subject, great tones and effects.
Outstanding!!!!
Emgy

Craig Garland   {K:27077} 10/10/2004
Hi Jeanette; I really like the lighting, and darkish tone, and the texture works really well here too. Nicely seen, taken and presented. Cheers. Craig

Laszlo Illes   {K:2019} 10/10/2004
7+++ Wonderful picture Jeanette! Congrats! Laci

Florin Pavel   {K:5309} 10/11/2004
Another masterpiece with your amazing technique. Excellent choice of the subject and great presentation.

Why not nudity? Are we afraid to enjoy beauty? Hope not. Sometimes "no comments" means more than thousands words. Of course, it is not always the case. Since humankind exists, the female body is the most hallowed subject in all forms of art. And It deserves it :)

Kisses,

Florin

Tugce Gül Baran   {K:5115} 10/12/2004

What shall I do without my camera.....? :( :(

:)

Jeanette

Lucy Bernadette   {K:5785} 10/15/2004
i find this very very disturbing, but can't pinpoint why. the nakedness, the baldness, the subservience of the serving position, and that cool cool grain you've used that comes out in the transfer. this image truly gives me the creeps. into my favourites it goes.

// //   {K:6081} 10/16/2004
Fantastic image treatment from you again.realy bravo.

kita mcintosh   {K:18594} 10/19/2004
please explain this wonderful technique to me...

In Transit   {K:29358} 10/22/2004
I just signed a cheque as a donation to the Cancer Society... and your model may be a piece of cake... but brings to mind the results of chemotherapy...

May your model retain her breasts and never suffer such horrendous risks... even if she is only a manequin... be well!

Your work is a pleasure to see!

this is almost surrealist in mood and deserves as all this work presnce in the first page; and my compliments to Jeanette for this

Ivan Jimenez   {K:9098} 10/24/2004
This is the first of your images I see... and what an intro!!. How did she do that? (comes to mind..(
Rushing to look at the rest of your acclaimed porfolio (even the odd weirdo that do not like a female body has left a comment here).
Best
I

Ian McIntosh   {K:38813} 10/24/2004
Jeanette, I think by putting this on a piece of paper as you have you achieve quite a nice trick in making it believable.
An invented context.
can't wait to see you put it on a butter plate.

Ahmet Baki Kocaballi   {K:13627} 10/24/2004
excellent!

Owen O'Meara   {K:8419} 10/24/2004

Yes really old by now - time go so fast :(

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 11/24/2005
It seems incredulous that even though it has a head, it to me appears headless; how could the torso of a young woman be invaded by the head of some man? It makes one think that what we see isn't what it literally is, but something quite beyond us.
