About A tiny little fall I passed today on my walk. I sat there for a long time, watching a turkey, high in a tree. I never knew they could fly that high. He never came out where I could attempt a shot at him.

Didn't know You are a turkey hunter Rebecca!
About that leaf............later

Nice shot of the little waterfall!
Just enough blur to give the feeling of motion.
Nice textures in the rock and the leaves give this just enough color.
Well done!
My best..........JOHN

P. Christine Skinner   {K:27338} 10/11/2004
Lovely autumn leaves caught in angel hair falls. Superb rock textures and light. Your capture of the water is truly remarkable Poe. (I think that turkey was making its way to Canada for Thanksgiving tomorrow :-) )

Ken Alexander   {K:3905} 10/11/2004
Nice composition, good choice of shutter speed, and the leaves add a lot. I think the rocks maybe aren't quite sharp, though.

Michael Holm   {K:7931} 10/11/2004
Very nice image, great composition and colors...
The water is perfect...
I agree with Ken, rock a bit too fuzzy ...

Patrick Jacobson   {K:29151} 10/11/2004
Great idea... would be perfect if the stones (the things that doesnt move here) would be sharper and more in focus! I like the composition though.. very nice.. Love the leaves that are being washed away.. =)

Turkey's are extreemly difficult to shoot, both for hunters and photographers. They can hear, see, and smell 10x better then we humans, had you gotten your shot at him you would have been very lucky.
Nice shot of the stream, just enough blur to give the water the sense of movement. It is just a tad soft on the rocks, though.

Lovely scene, Rebecca - you can almost hear the water splashing over the rocks! I'm with the 'save the turkey' crowd - "take only [photographs], leave only footprints." :)

Richard Koth   {K:2511} 10/11/2004
Rebecca you take such beautiful pictures! I can't seem to get a good shot of water or a turkey for that matter. Great picture.

Teunis Haveman   {K:52509} 10/11/2004

Hi Rebbecca, i like this capture allot, the lighting and the angle is more than nice, but it is a little out of focus and shaky, did you use a tripod?!!
I would give you 7 for the composition as it is really nice, thanks for your nice comment dear, regards,

Rebecca Raybon   {K:26655} 10/11/2004
Thanks Ameed. No, no tripod. I was sitting on the ground and actually had to kind of hang this the camera over a little concrete to take this. It was handheld at 1/15. I took 2 shots, the other shot had the rocks more in focus, but did not have the same composition. I liked this one better. I was walking on a bike trail that goes through miles of wooded area, and I never carry a tripod. Maybe I'll pick up a bean bag or someting to try sitting the camera on for days such as these :)

Maria José Barres   {K:11276} 10/11/2004
Wonderful motion effect in the water! I love it!!!
Kisses.

Trish McCoy   {K:20979} 10/11/2004
what a lovely shot. colors are stunning.

Neal Nye   {K:15827} 10/12/2004
I agree with you about tripods. If your camera is fastened to one, you will miss many more shots than you improve. I think it's far more important that you get the right composition and the right angles and have the right timing. Which you always do. This is a wonderful picture. The title and the frame are just right too.

Jeff Cartwright   {K:52046} 10/13/2004
