A distinctive b/w conversion and a good juxtaposition of two stories - I find myself going back and forth, as if looking for a connection.

Hi bro,
martina looks a bit sad, isn't she? nice off-centered portrait and scenery snapshot. the cook seems to have a great time. toning fits the scene very well, but is perhaps a bit bold (at least at my monitor). nice 1 take care, t-bro

you probably went there to eat but your table is empty! avoid Katz Delicatessen! their stuff prefers to sit around and talk instead of serving the customers! :-/ they contributed to a beautiful photo, though ;-)

Hey Kostas! LOL about your comment, but to be honest, I thought about that and admit you're absolutely right. The meal needs to be on the table during an image like that. Good when you have a chance to repeat a photo...;-) BTW the food is great, not on the healty side, but very tasty. C.

I like the everydayness of this, no pretentions, just honest, I agree with Kevin, it's part portrait of your lovely lady, part cameo performance! It works and has a comforting feel, I disagree about the food which would only add a distraction, but maybe that's another image.

love the action going on in the background while the woman is waiting patiently, and maybe a little bored, ie. as if she was waiting for food and the cooks were goofing off in the background. i would've preferred a lighter treatment of this though.

Carlheinz...I've been away fron Usefilm for a while, but I missed my friends ans their great work. So, I visited today and was pleased with your additions. I have been to the World Famous Katz Deli in NYC in 1971 at Christmas. Memorable visit to the city. Went to the Village and spent the majority of the evening visiting with Betty, at the time, she was sole proprietor of the San Remo @ Bleecker & McDougal, Famous address immortalized my Mr. Fred Neil. My friend escorted me from place to place and introduced me to many club owners and great bartenders, which were the clubs he played as a guitar player in a local NYC group of the late 60's called "The Yellow Brick Road." The same guy filled-in for Danny Kalb and the Blues Project, while Kalb was taking one of his famous "breaks." Regards, Rik

Hey Rik! Sounds like an exiting time, you had, that time. A few weeks ago I saw Billy Cobham and Culturemix at the Iridium in NYC. This was Billy Cobham, Airto Moreira, Randy Brecker, Marcos Ubeda, Per Gade, Stefan Rademacher, Junior Gill and Cobham of course. I assume you would have enjoyed it. I might post some images here, if they turn out good. Take care! C.

i love the mood created in this shot. your camera's positioned just right to play off the sadness of the forground with the mirth in back, and the darkness makes it more poignant. beautiful work.
