Splendid toneage and placid beauty, very stellar work.

Alison DuFlon   {K:36231} 10/17/2004
Nice perspective John, the B/W and the cloudy sky really add to the mood of the photo, it looks like you are the only one out there, waiting for the rain. Beautiful tones and reflections. Alison

Hi John, beautiful scenery. The tones and the reflection in this calm water are wonderful. Perfectly composed image John, regards my friend,

Beautiful B&W, regards!

Richard Dakin   {K:12852} 10/17/2004
Very calming, about as serene as it gets in the land of condos. Technically and compositionally superb. Looks very similar to the resort I live in on Georgian Bay. I had no idea there were places like this in Jersey.

John Loreaux   {K:85872} 10/17/2004
Hello Richard! Thanks for Your kind comment!
Just wanted to let You know there are many beautifull places close to where I live in southern NJ!
I,m only 5 min from the ocean and there are many beautifull lakes and streams to fish and Kayak, hike and of course photograph!
Many people think of North Jersey when they think of NJ but its like night and day!!!
Come visit this area some time I'm sure You would like it!
Take care.............JOHN

Richard Dakin   {K:12852} 10/17/2004
Thanks John, it is always good to learn more about our friends to the south. You are right though, many Canadians think of NJ only as the home of Jon Bon Jovi, and a very good hockey team. It nice to know that it is not called the "Garden State" only in a historical sense. By the way my comment was not kind, your image was fully deserving of praise.

John Loreaux   {K:85872} 10/17/2004
About that hockey team Richard, Of course You meen the dreaded Devils!
Being from SOUTH Jersey I have been a flyers fan since day one!
Phila. is only 55 min away the Meadowlands is 2 1/2 hrs away!
Leafs Fan???Gotta be!
Take care...............JOHN

Richard Koth   {K:2517} 10/17/2004
Wonderful photo as usual. The tones are perfect. Even though I'm from the most beautiful place on the planet, I must agree that there are some truly beautiful places in NJ. Plus I've known many people from NJ over the years and they have always been very freindly. As you are. Keep up the good work.

Marcio Janousek   {K:19531} 10/17/2004

It's all been said!! Great composition, tone, contrast... and the reflections and overall gray cast makes for a lovely, moody image.

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 10/17/2004
Very nice B&W shot, John, with some fine reflections.
That log burner sounded quite a job ~ I'm afraid D.I.Y. is not my strong point!! ;-)
Have a great Sunday!
Best regards, Chris

Hi, John,I?m trying to get back to Usefilm... after a short trip and some particular troubles.

Deb Mayes   {K:19605} 10/19/2004
Beautiful composition, tones, lines, and reflections, John. Somehow it fills me with foreboding (winters are grey and awful here), but that's a purely personal reaction and no reflection on your fine work. :)

Jeff Cartwright   {K:52046} 10/20/2004

A very strong composition in this one, John. Black and white and the reflection make it even stronger.
Thank you for your very friendly comment on my "Alone on the beach". In case you wandered, the birds flying about are pidgeons.
Best regards,
Rafi

Maja Gligoric   {K:13420} 10/21/2004
