About This is where it all started for me, 15 years ago when I climbed my first mountain, Old Rag. By chance I returned to experience this special place once again last week.

Long story short, I was in Virginia to do some backpacking with friends around the Mt. Pleasant area of the AT, which went very well. Upon arrival my truck broke down, had to be towed and fixed by a mechanic. Bummer. Ah, but this gave me an excuse to blow off a couple more days of work, and since I was just an hour away off I went to my great mountain of personal lore. Well worth the $800 repair bill.

Wow, is this gorgeous, Robert - you're literally above the clouds. Like the composition of this very much, and like the jumble of rocks on the top. Sorry about the truck, but you sure got a great consolation prize. Well done!
