I like the composition, it does remind me of the old masters of egg tempra and canvas. The way the figure of focus emerges from the darkness of the background and the concentration of the lighting on the facial expression really completes the image. Nice work and a good capture.

What exquisite lighting. So focused perfectly on him and contouring him beautifully then falling off into darkness. Such a tense pose gives almost a tortured feel to it. Great.
