Beautiful capture, Mary Sue! Perfect reflection, and nice timing to get the mountains through the clouds.

I think this was deleted yesterday... I clicked on it, but I can't see the image...

Mary Sue Hayward   {K:17525} 10/23/2004
Thanks for the info, Kim. I just clicked and it showed up.

By the way, thanks for your recent comments on my images. I've been low profile for a bit but will soon start commenting more and hopefully uploading a bit more. I really appreciate your remarks, always!

Hmm, it must have been a snag in my computer... after logging out and back in again, I can see it. And it's worth the effort of a second look! Love how those mountains peek out of the clouds and how the amazing splash of colour in the trees adds so much!
The foreground looks so warm and welcoming and the background with those looming mountains looks so cold and unforgiving!

Hi Mary sue, the snowy peaks through the mountains are an excellent detail, and create a very strong contrast with the autumn colours. Awesome scenery...

A part of me thinks that if you'd crop a slight strip off the water, more attention would be placed on spectacle in the background, doing the impressive scene more justice. Another part thinks that it's just gorgeous the way it is.... Neither part wins.

Cheers,

Hugo

That is a truely magical shot, it really does make the shot the way the mountains blend in behind the clouds.

What a lovely scene captured so well here Mary, like the contrasts of the season, the colors and the mood.

Hi Mary,

It has been awhile since seeing your photos and I am glad to peruse your portfolio once again. The mood you have captured here is so visceral. I am guessing this is in the Teton's?
