Hi JT, a bit dark, but awesome deep tones. Did you use a filter? Doesn't really look like a PL, but I could be mistaken. Cool shot, the deep tones add tremendously to the atmosphere.

Cheers,

Hugo

I used only a polariser and a KR.1B (Skylight for the Americans).

My guess is the meter got a bit confused with the mass of water and steam reflecting sunlight into the sensor.

Great shot!
Geyser are magically, i've seen them in Iceland. A very special experience,

Best wishes Abel

Amzing capture! That's one beautiful photo. I'm afraid I have nothing bad to say. : )

Looks like Clepsydra, this is a wonderful fountain that is always putting on a good show. Knowing the location you framed it up really well, getting the front and rear shots framed up. The sky looks really dark - perhaps a polarizer at work?

Overall good solid shot, geysers are really hard to time. I'll browse the rest of the Yellowstone shots (I love the place)

yes, I used a polariser on top of a 1B to bring out the colours and get rid of the usual high altitude blandness.
