Kiarang Alaei   {K:49060} 11/7/2004
If it is a self shot, then must tell that it is unique in form and your act. grainy tecture you( usually ) use is nice and gives it dramatic feel, bravo!

Hey! I have this effect on women too.....or maybe it's the gin. I always thought PS grain looked unatural..but this looks good.

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59973} 11/7/2004
Kiarang, this is not a selfportrait, it?s a friend this time. The last images is freinds.

Ha ha John - again!!! ;) Well then it?s best you stay away from the gin - or if they get so fascinated you are "powerful" and "dangerous"! :)

This evokes Cleopatra a bit for me (I think its the leopard skin!) Of course has something of Juliet as well -- the leaves are great!

Patrick Jacobson   {K:29151} 11/7/2004
Great title/music! Great composition and idea here! The grain works perfectly!!

Cheers

It is so rare to see an image that looks TRULY vintage...but you have mastered that look well in this series. Fantastic and dramatic. 7+

Tugce Gül Baran   {K:5115} 11/8/2004
Nick Cave meaning " Kafka singing" :-)

i LOVE it. very special...reminds me of a painting...trying to recall. the grain, the print on the scarf, the leaves...work so well against the solid light tone of her dress. the pose and perspective on it are priceless.

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59973} 11/8/2004
Tugce - nice to "hear" that you also like Nick Cave.... :)

I like the concept, but this flavor of grain is not so tasty to me.

Kevin H   {K:22502} 11/9/2004
Really like the framing and the angle at which you took it at. I'm not sure about the grainy effect but find the pose of the model really is beautiful. Keep up the good work

Stephen Bowden   {K:64519} 11/13/2004

Jeanette, during my absence, I missed so much of your great work! The thing that most thrills me is that you (like me) are apparently a big Nick Cave fan! I love his work...deep, dark, haunting, and beautiful all at once. I especially appreciate his flawless and emotional vocals on this particular tune. You rock, girl!
...Brad

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59973} 12/2/2004
Brad - you wrote exactly the perfect words about Nick. Yes, I?m a very big fan of him.

:)
